Madeleine McCoy, Secretary/Officer of the Board

Mandy is a wife and mother of two young adults. She and her husband, Kevin, moved from Scotland to the United States originally to receive the appropriate help and innovations for their son who developed autism at the age of eighteen months.

In 1999, Mandy was a Parent Advocate Program manager for Centennial Developmental Services Inc./Envision in Evans, CO.

As a strong support for parents of children with autism, Mandy, and an advocate, set up nonprofit company in 2003, called Access and Ability, that provided advocacy services for families with developmentally disabled children. She helped coordinate family education, public forums on legislation, grant writing, and the coordination of insurance appeals. This non-profit organization is still in existence today.

From 2002 to present, Mandy works at Alternatives Access in Ft. Collins as a Supported Living consultant, Direct Care Provider, and Administrative Assistant.

As Secretary of the board, Mandy acts as an advisor and link to families with children and adults with disabilities. She has taken the volunteer training so that she is able to be a side walker or horse leader for HorseBuds TRC. Mandy grew up with horses and rode English and enjoys coming to the farm whenever she can  get away from work for a "wee bitty!"

Phil Bingham, Treasurer/Officer of the Board

Phil served on the boards of two large financial institutions. He was the Treasurer of Yakima Valley Credit Union in Yakima, Washington, and served as Secretary of the Great American Credit Union in Grand Junction, CO. Phil was, also, Secretary on the Board of Westridge Farms HOA, in Greeley CO. When he's not practicing the cello, Phil is a Cardiovascular Perfusionist by profession for the past 18 years.

As everyone who is involved in HorseBuds TRC, Phil, too, has a heart for children and animals. In the past, he spent one semester in college helping to teach Down Syndrome children to compete in swimming. Presently, he and his wife, Roseanne, just moved to an area in Greeley where they plan to accumulate some farm animals.

Phil, as Treasurer, is a financial advisor to HorseBuds, a strong advocate of the program, and he is always willing to help in any way.
